API Terms Addendum

For partners using the Askhive engine API. Invite-only beta.

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Written by us, in plain language, and kept true rather than lawyerly: every factual sentence here is one we can show you the mechanism for. If anything looks wrong, tell us at support@bridgeshorelabs.com and we will correct it.

Scope

This addendum governs the Askhive engine API and applies in addition to the Terms of Service. Where they conflict on API use, this addendum wins.

Invite-only beta

The API is in invite-only beta. There is no self-service signup: keys are issued by us to named partners, and a key that is not issued to you is not yours to use. Beta means the interface may change with notice, and it means we may end the beta.

You are the responsible professional

Askhive is drafting software and you are the author of what you publish. Output from the API is AI-drafted and has been reviewed by nobody. If you put it in front of an end user, you are the professional in that relationship — not us. You are responsible for reviewing it, for your own regulatory obligations, for telling your users how the work was produced where you are required to, and for any advice they take from it.

Reports created through the API are born final rather than draft, because there is no human approval step inside Askhive on this path. That step is yours to build.

Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy applies in full. In addition:

Rate limits and quotas

Metering and price

Usage is counted in our own records, which are authoritative, and reported to Stripe for billing. Pricing is as recorded in your partner agreement.

We will give 30 days' notice by email before any price change, effective at your next billing period.

No service level agreement

There is no SLA. No uptime commitment, no latency commitment, no support response time, no credits. The API is provided "as is" during the beta. Live status is at askhive.app/status. Do not put the API on a path where an outage harms someone.

Suspension

We may suspend a key immediately for a breach of this addendum or the Acceptable Use Policy, for abuse, or where we must to comply with the law. Revocation takes effect at once. Where it is reasonable we will tell you first.

Data protection

Where you send us personal data through the API you are the controller and we are your processor; the Data Processing Agreement applies.
