The agreement between you and Bridgeshore Labs, LLC when you use Askhive.
Askhive is operated by Bridgeshore Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. By using Askhive you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Askhive turns a question into a structured report. It is drafting software. It is not a lawyer, an accountant, a financial adviser, a doctor, or any other licensed professional, and using it does not create a professional relationship with us or with anyone.
Reports are generated by a language model and can be wrong. They can be confidently wrong. Check anything that matters — a number, a deadline, a legal or medical or financial consequence — against a primary source or a qualified professional before you rely on it. You are responsible for what you do with a report.
Askhive labels these two states and does not blur them.
A Practice report cannot reach a client without a human approval step: the database refuses to move a client report from draft to delivered without passing through approved. That is a constraint of the system, not a convention.
Askhive is drafting software in the same sense that a word processor is. The professional who reviews, edits and approves a deliverable is its author and is responsible for it, exactly as they would be for a document they typed themselves. We do not review, approve, or take professional responsibility for any deliverable, and we are not a party to the relationship between a professional and their client.
You are responsible for your own professional obligations — competence, confidentiality, supervision, conflicts, and any duty to tell your client how you produced the work.
If you are a tax return preparer, 26 U.S.C. §7216 and its regulations restrict the use and disclosure of tax return information, and disclosing it to a service provider may require your client's prior written consent in a prescribed form.
What the system does, so you can assess it: Practice briefs are redacted before they leave our servers — identifiers such as SSNs, EINs, bank routing and account numbers, dates of birth, and optionally the client's name are replaced with tokens, the model receives the tokens, and the real values are restored into the finished draft. Identifiers Askhive recognises in labelled text are removed before the text goes to the model provider; attachments and free text may still carry them, so a firm should send no more identifying detail than the task needs. It does receive the substance of the brief.
Obtaining any consent §7216 requires is your responsibility, not ours. We do not provide the consent form and nothing here is advice on whether you need one.
ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2024) addresses generative AI in legal practice: competence in the tool, protection of confidential information, communication with the client, supervision of the output, and reasonable fees. Askhive is built to sit inside those duties rather than around them — mandatory human approval before anything reaches a client, per-workspace isolation of client data, redaction of identifiers before the model sees them, an edit trail recording what the professional changed, and a disclaimer on every delivered report stating what it is.
The duties remain yours. Whether to use Askhive on a matter, whether and how to tell your client, and whether the output is fit to send are your professional judgements.
You may use Askhive without an account, identified by a random identifier your device generates. Creating an account lets your reports follow you between devices. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account, and it deletes rather than deactivates.
You own what you put in and what comes out. You keep all rights in your questions, your attachments and your reports. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, send it to the model provider to produce your report, and show it back to you or to whoever you share it with. That licence ends when you delete the content.
We do not use your content to train models. We do not sell it. We do not publish it.
The rules are on the Acceptable Use Policy page and form part of these terms.
Report quality is never paywalled — a free report is the same report. Plans change how many you can ask for and what you can export.
Partner access is governed by the API Terms Addendum, which applies in addition to these terms.
We aim to keep Askhive running and publish live status at askhive.app/status. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and there is no service level agreement for consumer or Practice plans.
Askhive is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that reports will be accurate, complete or suitable for your situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or relating to Askhive — including any decision taken in reliance on a report.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to Askhive is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Consumers in the EU and UK keep their statutory rights.
If you use Askhive in a way that breaks these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of defending it.
You may stop using Askhive at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where we must to comply with the law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right, and we will let you export your reports.
We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Askhive after that means you accept the change; if you do not, cancel and delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
